The on-campus student accommodation at Nottingham Trent University covers a wide range of different housing options for students, from hall of residence to studios and shared housing. Hampdon Hall, is one of the smaller student accommodation blocks, comprising of 14 flats with a general make up of six bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shared kitchen.
Each year, various refurbishments are carried out across the estate to upgrade and maintain the facilities of the student accommodation blocks. After a preliminary site survey, conducted by the client, Hampdon Hall was selected for a two-year refurbishment programme, commencing in 2022.
Harris Evolution was appointed as the Principal Contractor to deliver Phase 1, of this project which included the full refurbishment of 14 flats, renewal of electrics throughout and the reconfiguration of the Hot Water storage system.
This was a fast-paced programme of works completed over the 8-week summer period. As the site was partially occupied, careful consideration was given to mitigate any undue inconvenience and nuisance to the residents on site.
