It was essential that all services remained online throughout each phase of this refurbishment scheme. To limit disruption and to safeguard the residents and staff still living in the building, works were segregate and carefully coordinated at each stage.

As this was a live environment, a banksman was also appointed to provide an extra level of security and safety for the residents and flooring was completed during periods of low footfall.

Good communication with the client, staff and managers was a key component to the success of this challenging programme of works. Through careful consideration and planning, works were delivered as scheduled, without impacting the residents’ comfort conditions.
