Care Home
Location:
Sussex
Delivered in:
17 weeks
The initial project brief included a full refurbishment of the existing corridors, bathrooms and communal spaces throughout the care home. However, after preliminary site surveys, the scope of works was expanded to incorporate renovations to the bedrooms as well as various external works.
Over a period of 17 weeks, Harris Evolution performed the role of Principal Contractor, coordinating works with various trades, ensuring compliance with CDM, executing the programme of works and delivering the project on time, within budget, and to the client’s specifications.
As this was a live site, special consideration was required to safeguard the residents and staff whilst works were taking place. The project was delivered in five phases so that the building could remain operational throughout, and works were isolated wherever possible. A banksman was also appointed to provide an extra level of security and safety for the residents.
