Harris Evolution was appointed as the Principal Contractor for the refurbishment of the boathouse at Center Parcs, Longleat. This project involved a full internal fit out including new showers and changing facilities as well as external works to the façade and surrounding areas. Works were also carried out to the current surface water drainage system.
As this was a live site, with children and young people, our team worked closely with the client to identify areas where we could reduce any potential risks. The coordination and logistics of works had to be carefully considered to keep guests and staff at the park safe.
Refurbishments were completed within a single phase and delivered to an accelerated programme so that downtime of services were kept to a minimum. Our Lead Purchaser and Project Manager worked closely with suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate deliveries with long lead items which involved extensive forward planning. This ensured the boathouse was returned to the client as quickly as possible with minimal disruption to operations.
