Bright Horizons, a frontrunner in early childhood education, launched an ambitious endeavor to establish a modern, eco-friendly nursery and preschool in Colchester. This project was part of a significant urban development north of Colchester, aiming not offer childcare but also to pioneer environmental responsibility within educational facilities.
In the heart of the expanding Kingswood Heath community, where over 2,600 homes were taking shape, the plan was to inaugurate a brand-new, standalone nursery and preschool by early 2024. This initiative was designed to provide a nurturing space equipped with state-of-the-art facilities catering to different age groups.
The Colchester Day Nursery and Preschool features expansive areas for infants, including three large baby rooms outfitted with developmental resources. Toddlers enjoy two vibrant rooms with direct access to custom garden spaces for outdoor education, while preschoolers benefit from a large room designed to spark creativity, also with easy garden access for a seamless indoor-outdoor learning experience. Additionally, the facility includes tranquil spaces for calm reflection and areas for role play, such as kitchens and water play stations, to encourage imaginative and sensory play.
