Aria Care, Multi-Site
Aria Care Group, renowned for delivering outstanding care and support within the social care industry, has fostered inclusive communities at its 50 UK locations. Their portfolio spans residential homes, nursing facilities, and specialised dementia care services, all designed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
As part of Aria Cares annual refurbishment initiative, four of their care homes were selected for significant upgrades. Harris Evolution was chosen for the task, charged with revitalising the interiors to craft spaces that are both inviting and comforting for residents, staff, and visitors. This comprehensive renovation encompassed the installation of new flooring, decorative touches, and lighting enhancements in various areas, aimed at enriching the quality of life for the residents.
Each renovation project was tailored to meet the specific needs and challenges of the individual sites, with a particular focus on resident comfort and safety. Harris Evolution leveraged their expertise to ensure a seamless, efficient, and considerate refurbishment process.
Care Home
Location:
Scotland & South West
The scope of work included a complete overhaul of 7 bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, 3 lounges, and corridors, plus extensive kitchen renovations at Beechwood Park. Scoonie House saw the transformation of 3 bedrooms, corridors, lounges, a staff room, and offices. At Miranda House, communal spaces such as dining rooms, lounges, a nurse’s station, a hair salon, reception area, and bathrooms were enhanced. Ferfoot House benefited from upgrades and refurbishments in the dining room, lounges, the sensory room, full strip-out and upgrades to a wet room, and 5 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
These refurbishments have breathed new life into the care homes, markedly elevating the resident experience. New kitchens, alongside the revamping of bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, and communal areas, have resulted in more functional and visually appealing spaces.
Refurbishing buildings that are home to residents, particularly those with dementia, poses unique operational challenges. Harris Evolution’s strategic planning and collaborative approach with the care homes ensured a successful execution. By establishing isolated work zones, the team minimised disruption and safeguarded resident safety throughout the renovations. Additionally, by meticulously preserving routines and returning all furniture and personal items to their original locations, the Harris Evolution team prevented distress among residents, showcasing a deep understanding of the sensitive nature of their environment.
