A refurbishment of a large student accommodation block in Oxford, comprising of 60 bedrooms over 8 floors. This was a fast-pace programme of works completed within 6 weeks, ready for the new academic year.
The client required a complete overhaul of the interiors to provide a more modern and contemporary look and feel. The brief was to deliver a refreshed student accommodation block following the design specifications provided by the clients design team.
Harris Evolution performed the role of Principal Contractor providing M&E services and Project Management. A full time dedicated Site Manager was also assigned to this project to carefully coordinate works between phases.
Works included redecoration throughout all of the communal areas. Cosmetic refurbishments were also carried out on the bedrooms, bathrooms and dining areas which saw the team replace the silicone in bedrooms & bathrooms, replace 60 shower screens as well replace water damaged sub floors in a couple of bathrooms.
Various M&E works were included within this renovation project, which consisted of LED lighting upgrades, the installation of induction hobs in the kitchens and the installation of new energy saving panel heaters.
