Harris Evolution served as the principal contractor on a comprehensive refurbishment project for Canvas Students, transforming a student accommodation block in Bristol. This project involved upgrading 24 bedrooms across two floors to align with new brand standards, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
The refurbishment aimed to rejuvenate and upgrade the facilities, incorporating modern amenities into each unit. Previously featuring shared kitchens serving multiple student bedrooms, the accommodation was transformed into self-contained apartments, each equipped with new kitchenettes.
Every unit now features updated furniture, improved ventilation, and upgraded electrical systems. Additionally, a state-of-the-art fire suppression system was installed in the kitchens to comply with building regulations, eliminating the need for traditional sprinkler systems.
Bespoke furniture was crafted for all 24 bedrooms, each featuring a full array of hard and soft furnishings, enhanced by decorative touches like plants and lighting fixtures. Refurbishment works were also extended to the roof terrace, where new planters, benches, and energy-efficient lighting with PIR sensors were introduced.
