Harris Evolution were appointed as the Principal Contractor for the refurbishment of the existing leisure facilities at Worcester Whitehouse Hotel. This project involved the renovation of the female, male and accessible changing rooms, W/C’s, sauna and steam rooms.
Works included the replacement and repairs to partitions, new floor coverings and suspended ceilings, replacement of internal doors and sanitary-ware, full redecorations and repair works.
The hotel was busy with functions whilst works were ongoing, so it was essential to keep the leisure facilities operational. To minimise disruption, works were completed in four phases, with Harris Evolution taking possession of one area at a time. A temporary changing facility was also created to the rear of the building, adjacent to the pool, so that the leisure club could remain accessible to guests.
Good communication with the client and hotel management was vital to limit any impact on guest experience. Regular meetings ensured works were properly coordinated around the hotels busy periods to mitigate the risk of unnecessary interruptions to operations.
