Virtus, more popularly known as The Music Works, is a dynamic and forward-thinking agency, dedicated to revolutionising the musical landscape. They exhibit a sincere commitment to nurturing talent and are geared towards empowering the next generation of musicians with state-of-the-art facilities.
Virtus (The Music Works) approached us with a vision – to transform the old HSBC Bank structure into Cinderford Music Studio, a cutting-edge recording center that not only aligns with, but propels their mission to create an accessible and professional musical environment.
The challenge was not only in the transformation of the physical space but also in ensuring that the new studio truly becomes a cradle for creativity and a hub for potential artists. There was also the significant undertaking of seamlessly integrating a complex HVAC system, orchestrating a complete overhaul of lighting and electrics, and ensuring that high-quality acoustics is a given, not just an advantage.
Collaboration played a crucial role as we delved into a thorough planning phase. We implemented a comprehensive mezzanine overhaul to maximize space for multiple recording booths. A new HVAC system was integrated, accompanied by a custom lighting setup and advanced door access technology. Carefully chosen windows and doors were aimed at their soundproofing attributes, while the interior design seamlessly blended modern aesthetics with practical furniture, durable flooring, and inspiring decorations.
