HC One is one of the UK’s largest operators to modernise its portfolio of care homes. Over 200 properties have been included within a two-year refurbishment programme commencing in 2021. The focus of the investment is on upgrading corridors, W/Cs, bathrooms and communal spaces as well as various planned maintenance works to enhance the environment for all its residence.
This is a large scheme divided up into regions and broken down further into phases of work. Dependent on the roll out programme, some of these sites will be run concurrently to speed up delivery. To reduce the downtime of any services, some properties will be delivered to an accelerated programme so that rooms can be returned to the client as quickly as possible, with minimal disruption to the home.
All designs and specifications are being provided by the clients inhouse interior designers, with Harris Evolution performing the role of Principal Contractor for the sites allocated to our team.
Brand consistency is important for this project so careful consideration has been given to the sourcing of appropriate materials as well as fixtures and fittings for each site. This project will see a complete overhaul of the interiors to provide a more modern and contemporary look and feel.
