The refurbishment of the pool hall and changing rooms at the Crowne Plaza, Reading. The existing facilities were starting to look tired and some of the fixtures and fittings had reach their end of life.
Acting as the Principal Contractor, Harris Evolution coordinated works and managed the project delivery. Works included the refurbishment of the balcony area, upgrades to the ground floor balustrading, pool and spa M&E repairs, refresh of the changing rooms as well as roof repairs.
All of the underwater pool lights were upgraded and the mosaic bench in the sauna was refurbished to meet the hotels new design specifications. The saturated plasterboard walls were replaced, new shower controls were installed, and the changing rooms were redecorated throughout.
The hotel needed to remain operational whilst works were completed so it was essential any downtime of the leisure facilities was kept to a minimum. To ensure services were back online as quickly as possible, this project was delivered to accelerated programme of works.
