Fire service drivers are installed at the fire alarm panels, which connect directly back to the offsite management centre, where the system manages a database of all detectors, loops, zones, panels and fire related text messages. The software runs a continuous housekeeping function, which performs the role of both verifying the presence and state of physical devices against the database. The service also reports fire related alarm conditions, which in turn raises alerts and responses within agreed service levels.

Access control drivers are installed at control panels, which provide connectivity back to the offsite management centre, where the system monitors the access control system elements such as alarm devices, card readers and door contacts. The database is updated whenever it is informed by any of the access control devices of a change in status on any object.
